Our Team of Pre-Licensed Therapists

Rachel Mochizuki, AMFT #151075

Hi there, I’m so glad you’re here! I prioritize creating relational safety with you where active listening, collaboration, and a touch of humor foster deeper connection. While supporting clients with compassion, I highlight key insights or patterns to encourage growth and integrate body-based practices like breathwork and mindfulness to support healing for the mind, body, and soul.

My therapy approach is rooted in systemic social justice, feminism, and collective liberation, understanding how our relationships and social systems impact our well-being. As a woman of color, I focus on making therapy more inclusive and empowering by using collaborative, client-led methods. I help clients explore the systems and relationships in their lives, supporting long-term healing and growth through a mix of talk therapy, body-based techniques, and intuitive practices.

I have a bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara in Biopsychology and a master’s degree from Alliant International University in couples and family therapy. In my free time, I enjoy reading tarot cards, baking, walking my dog, and drinking matcha.

With me, you will be accepted as you are and all aspects of your identity will be honored in our work together. I would love the opportunity to support you on your journey—feel free to schedule an appointment today!

Alejandro Martinez, AMFT #151551

You may feel overwhelmed or stuck when navigating questions about who you are, what you believe, or what you want. As a Latino therapist who grew up in a high-control religion, I know how scary it can be to take the first step and share your story. That’s why I’m here to offer a compassionate, judgment-free space where we can move at your pace and uncover what’s holding you back from living the life you want.

In our work together, we’ll explore the ‘parts’ of you—your thoughts, feelings, and patterns— to better understand what’s shaping your experiences. My approach is flexible: whether you need support to process difficult emotions, guidance to navigate life’s challenges, or simply a safe space to reflect, I’ll meet you where you are.

As a therapist with a Bachelor’s in Psychological Sciences and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, I bring both professional knowledge and personal understanding to our work. I’m passionate about working with people from all backgrounds in English or Spanish. I also do my best to bring cultural sensitivity and understanding to every session. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I’ll be there to support you every step of the way.

If you’re an individual or a couple feeling overwhelmed by religious concerns, relationship issues, identity exploration, or anxiety, I’m here to help. Reach out today for a free consultation—I’d love to hear your story and explore how we can move forward together.

Maddison Martin, ASW #127719

Hi, I’m Maddison! I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with a passion for working with others to help them feel more empowered and confident. If you feel caught in a cycle of perfectionism, find yourself catering to others' needs, struggle with boundaries, or just feeling lost, I would love to work with you towards your goals. I have had the pleasure of working as a therapist with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, as well as couples, on issues of anxiety, self-esteem, adjustment to major life changes, and difficulty with communication.

As a military spouse, I am no stranger to change and I know how important connection and coping skills can be. I feel honored to work with people navigating the challenges that come with being a military spouse, family member, or anyone who has a lifestyle where they experience frequent change. I am also a former college athlete, and feel very passionately about working with other athletes who experience struggles related to performance anxiety, lack of motivation, and mental blocks related to your sport.

My focus as your therapist is to work collaboratively towards your identified goals, using a compassionate person-centered approach. This is emulated through an unconditional positive regard for you and your experiences, and believing you have the power to make a difference in your life. I also utilize a cognitive behavioral approach (CBT), placing an emphasis on the connection between one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how the three are shaped by our past experiences to inform our current perceptions. I have found that using CBT helps clients feel agency in shifting their mindset. My hope is that our work fosters a judgement-free environment where clients feel empowered to work through difficulty and begin the healing process.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, playing sports, reading, and trying new restaurants. I am excited to be working with the Therapy with Sarah team to bring peace and confidence to clients all across California! Please reach out for your free consultation.
